airEquity Launches Fractional, Titled Ownership of Short-Term Rental Homes for Accredited Investors
The platform removes the barriers, decisions and effort of short-term rental ownership — sourcing, renovating, launching and managing each home while investors hold titled shares from $10,000.
DANA POINT, CA — September 11, 2026
After years of launching single-investor short-term rental (STR) properties, the team behind airEquity created a fractional platform to offer a lower minimum investment entry point into owning STRs. airEquity today announced the launch of its fractional short-term rental ownership platform, giving accredited investors titled ownership in individual, hand-picked short-term rental homes for as little as $10,000 per share — without mortgages, loans, credit checks or landlord duties.
Unlike traditional real estate investing, where a single property requires a large down payment, financing approval and years of active management, airEquity buys the home, renovates it, launches it on the major booking platforms and manages it end to end. Investors hold shares in the property-specific LLC that holds title, receive quarterly distributions from net operating income, and get an annual K-1 with the depreciation benefits that come from owning real property.
Why investors are paying attention
- Titled ownership of a specific home, held in a dedicated LLC — not shares in a blind pool or a broad fund
- Investment sizes from $10,000 to $250,000 per investor, per property
- Quarterly distributions and annual K-1 reporting, including first-year bonus depreciation potential
- No mortgages, loans or credit checks required to participate
- Fully managed: sourcing, renovation, furnishing, launch, guest operations and reporting
- A 12-month liquidity window and in-network share trading, plus a shareholder vote on a property sale at year seven
- Hand-picked locations selected for guest demand, regulatory stability and long-term value
How airEquity compares
Most fractional real estate platforms sell exposure to a fund or a pooled portfolio. airEquity investors experience transparency with property specific deed ownership.
- Versus Arrived: Arrived investors typically buy shares in a fund-managed rental with multi-year holds. airEquity investors hold titled shares in one identified short-term rental home, with a 12-month liquidity window and the ability to trade shares in network.
- Versus Ark7: Ark7 focuses largely on long-term rental cash flow. airEquity focuses on professionally operated short-term rentals, where nightly rates and seasonal demand drive higher revenue potential.
- Versus Lofty: Lofty leans on tokenized listings that investors largely evaluate and monitor themselves. airEquity delivers a fully managed program with quarterly reporting and a shareholder vote on the eventual sale.
Estimates and projections presented by airEquity are not guarantees. Annual returns vary, and real estate investing carries risk, including loss of principal.
